Keith E. Huff

Keith E. Huff, age 84, of Dixon, died Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home.

          Keith was born September 25, 1939 in Dixon, the son of Erwin and Ruby (Adams Hill) Huff.  He graduated from Dixon High School and later served in the US Navy from 1957 – 1961.  Keith married Charlene Harms on December 14, 1968 in Sterling and was employed with Union Hall 196 for 20 years.  He was also a custodian at Dixon High School.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon, the IBEW, and was a past member of the VFW and Elks.  Keith was a member of the US Parachute Association and a long time member of the Rock River Valley Skydivers, having over 1000 jumps.

          He is survived by his wife, Charlene Huff of Dixon; one daughter, Jenny Huff of Dixon; one son, Jamie (Renae) Huff of Mahomet; three grandchildren, Anniston, Gavin, and Ellison; one sister, Marilyn Miller of Dixon; one nephew, Ryan Miller; one niece, Mindy Etheridge; one great niece, Emma Etheridge; and one great nephew, Max Etheridge.

          He was preceded in death by his parents and one great nephew, Matthew Etheridge.

          A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2023 from 10:30 – 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.  The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Elizabeth Mascal officiating.  Private burial will take place on Saturday afternoon.

          In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Serenity Hospice, and Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
