Allen W. Davis, Jr.

Allen W. Davis, Jr., age 75, of Machesney Park, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Mercy Health Hospital in Rockford

Allen was born August 8, 1942 in Dallas, Texas the son of Allen, Sr. and Charlotte (Drew) Davis.  He married Linda Andrews on January 6, 1962 in Polo.  He was a science teacher at Eisenhower School in Rockford for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Machesney Park.

Survivors include his wife of Machesney Park; his mother, Charlotte Miller of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons, Michael (Cynthia) Davis of Arlington, Texas and Wayne (Sherrie) Davis of Royse City, Texas; his half sister, Ramona (Randy) Raymond of Hot Springs, Ark; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

 He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10 – 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Machesney Park.  Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Heath Tibbetts officiating.  Burial will be Monday at 2:30 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon
