Edna H (Lewis) Bonnell-McCann

DIXON- Edna H.  Bonnell-McCann 86 of Dixon passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Dixon Rehabilitation and Rehab Center. 

Edna was born on April 18, 1932 in Dixon, the daughter of William and Sarah (Meador) Lewis.  She married Melburn Bonnell Sr. on July 28,1948 in Winn.  He preceded her in death in May of 1984.  She later married Richard McCann on October 30, 1998 in Mt. Carroll, and he survives.

Also surviving are 9 children, Sandy (Joe) Valdivia of Rock Falls, Melburn (Ollena) Bonnell Jr. of Dixon, Raymond (Colleen) Bonnell of Dixon, Betty May (William) Barton of Dixon, Barbara (Dan) McCann of Tampico, Terry (Lorna) Bonnell of Nachusa, Danny Bonnell of VA, Steven (Cindy) Bonnell of Dixon, and Jackie Bonnell of Dixon; one sister, Judy Taylor of OH; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one daughter, Karla Fordham; and one grandson, Richie Montgomery. 

Edna was a very dependable, hard worker.  She absolutely loved her job at KSB where she was a Dietician for all her working life.  When she was not working, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.
