Edward A. Bratt

          Edward A. Bratt, 96, of Dixon, died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at home.

          Edward was born September 27, 1922 in Rockton the son of John and Charlotte (Conklin) Bratt.  He served in the US Navy during WWII.  He married Billie J. Terry on February 10, 1946 in Hayward, Calif.  He farmed in the Durand area then was employed at the Rockford Post Office.

          Survivors include wife, Billie of Dixon; daughter, Jeanne Plumb of Dixon; sons, Mike (Shanasy) Bratt of Stillman Valley and Tim (Grace) Bratt of Dixon; brother, James (Phyllis) Bratt of Calif.; and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick Bratt; daughter-in-law, Lesly Bratt; brother, John Bratt; and sister-in-law, Jane Bratt.

          The Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 9:15 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Reverend Tom Doyle officiating.  Burial with military honors will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon immediately following Mass.

          In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Anne Catholic Church.
