Julia Ann Cover

Julia Ann Cover, age 83, of Dixon, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home.

Julia was born April 4, 1934 in Dixon the daughter of Clara (McConnell) Early.  She married Eugene W. Cover on July 12, 1968 in Dixon.  He preceded her in death on April 7, 2009.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include six daughters, Shelby (Galen) Boyd of Heiskell, Tenn., Linda (Russ) Monson of Manlius; Cynthia (Steve) Bonnell of Dixon; Patti Jo (Ski People)  Sperling of Bowling Green, Ohio, Kim Nicklaus of Liberty Center, Ohio and Chris (Jim) Whitson of Burnside, Ky.; five sons, Charles MacRunnels, Phillip (Tillie) MacRunnels, Dwayne (Lisa) MacRunnels all of Dixon, James (Colleen) MacRunnels of Elburn; Duane Cover of Liberty Center, Ohio; one brother, Walt (Janet) McConnell of Tuscon, Ariz.; 41 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, one brother, and her grandparents.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  Memorial services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Borton of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls officiating.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Moose Heart and Dixon Women of the Moose.
