Rebecca Jo Vail

DIXON- Rebecca Jo Vail, 67 of Dixon passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Regency Healthcare of Sterling.

Becky was born on March 8, 1950 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of Charles E. and Marilyn (Dunsworth) Vail. 

Surviving are her two brothers, Ned (Sandy) Vail of Kansas City, MO and Jack (Sarah) Vail of Paso Robles, CA; niece, Emily Vail of Walnut Creek, CA; and nephew, Brent (Christy) Vail and their daughter, Madison of Woodlands, TX.  Preceding Becky in death are her parents, and her special grandmother, Gladys Dunsworth.

Becky graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors Degree, and was president of Zeta Tau Alpha.  She later went on to attend Columbia College in Chicago.

With a true love for music and musicals, Becky sang at many local weddings and funerals, and in many plays.  She was a talented actress and enjoyed local theatre.  Becky taught theater, speech, and English at many educational facilities in the area.  She had a true love for animals of every kind, and she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship at the United Methodist Church. 

 A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon.
