Ruth A. Post

          Ruth A. Post, age 71, of Dixon, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at her home.

          Ruth was born May 12, 1947 in Dixon the daughter of Earl and Lois (Fritts) Grobe.  She was employed at Borg Warner for many years and later was a bartender at the VFW, the Elks Lodge and many other establishments in Dixon and at The Sportsman in Englewood, Fla. for many years.  Ruth belonged to many clubs and organizations.

          Survivors include her son, Todd (Susan) Ogan of Dixon; two brothers, Larry (LuAnn) Grobe of Polo and Rodney (Beverly) Grobe; two granddaughters, Caitlin Ogan of Dixon and Megan (Jerry) Osterdock of Cornell; two nephews, Nicholas (Brandy) Grobe of Dixon and Bill Grobe; and three nieces, Lesley (John) Milam of Bloomington, Tina Evans and Amy Mason.

          She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronnie Grobe in infancy.

          Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 5 – 7 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Marlene Smith officiating.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

          In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
