William R. Boken

William R. Boken, Sr., age 78, of Dixon, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Maple Crossing at Amboy.

William was born March 25, 1940 in Rochelle the son of Russell and Mabel (Smith) Boken.  He married Jane Gann on September 22, 2013 in Dixon.  He was employed as Teamster Truck Driver through Whiteside Blacktop and was attending Abiding Word Church in Sterling.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Boken of Dixon; one daughter, Lori (Shelby) Preston of Sterling; two sons, William Boken, Jr. and Brian (Kimberly) Boken both of Rock Falls; three step daughters, Kim (Jack) Skrogstad of Dixon, Becky (Anthony) Romano of Sterling and Leslie (Dan) Mann of Dixon; two sisters, Janet Marcum of Centralia, Mo. and Sharon (Mel) Geyer of Ind.; one brother, Thomas (Margaret) Boken of DeKalb; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; two brothers-in-law, Merle Gann of Galesburg and Carl Gann of Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Edy Madden of Dixon and Sandra Gann of Mendota; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Boken; and one daughter-in-law, Ronda Boken.

Graveside services will take place at a later date.

Arrangements were completed by Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.
