Bertha Jacobs, age 82, of Harmon, died Friday, February 15,
2019 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
Bertha was born February 5, 1937 in Polo the daughter of Paul and> Frances (Schmiedebush) Heckman. She married Earl Jacobs on March 15,
1963 in Ogle County. She was employed at C.J. Glassgow in Amboy and
later farmed with her husband. Bertha enjoyed fishing, camping,
playing solitare and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Earl of Harmon; one daughter, Debbie> (James) Lawson of Dixon; one son, Jeff (Kelly) Jacobs of Walnut; four
grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Eva
Degraffenreid; one brother, John Heckman; two sisters, Pauline Eddy
and Carol Rogers; and one great grandson, Logan Jacobs.
Per her wishes, there are no services. Cremation rites will be
accorded.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Rock River
Hospice and Home in Sterling.
