Billie Jane Bratt, 101, of Dixon, died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at home.
Billie was born on February 18, 1925, in Sheridan, WY, the daughter of Samuel and Nellie (Hoffman) Terry. She married Edward A. Bratt on February 10, 1946, in Hayward, California. She was an avid crocheter, a dedicated letter writer, and an enthusiastic reader. She moved from California to Durand, where she helped farm alongside her husband for 17 years. Later settling in Rockford, they developed a love for square dancing and went on to found the Collide-a-scope Square Dance Club. In 1992, she and Edward made their home in Dixon.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Plumb of Dixon; her two sons, Mike (Shanasy) Bratt of Stillman Valley and Tim (Grace) Bratt of Dixon; sister-in-law, Dolly Terry of Rockton; brother-in-law, James (Phyllis) Bratt of Walnut Creek, CA; and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Patrick Bratt; daughter-in-law, Lesly Bratt; son-in-law, Dale Plumb; four brothers and one sister.
The Rosary will be recited on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:30AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM with Reverend Timothy Draper officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon immediately following Mass. Following the burial a light luncheon will take place.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Anne Catholic Church.
