Delight Bellini

Delight was born in New York, New York on March 2, 1923.  She entered into her heavenly home on April 17, 2023.

          Her life of 100 years, as you can imagine, was full of amazing experiences.  If you spent time with her, you would be entranced by her stories.  One of our favorites was about the Campfire Girls.

          Delight was the daughter of Carl Custer Cutler and Helen Grant Irving Cutler.  She was raised in Mystic, Connecticut along with her brother, Cameron.

          Delight spoke proudly of her heritage, the family Packer home, and of her brother.  The Mystic Seaport was always a topic of discussion, as her father was one of the three founding men.

          Delight attended school in Mystic and East Greenwich Academy Rhode Island.  She proudly joined and served the second class of Navy WAVES in May 1943 until November 1945.

          Delight traveled and lived in many places.  She eventually retired in her beloved Hualapai Mountain Arizona cabin.  There she met and married Bob Bellini (deceased), her husband of 25 years.  In 2006, they moved to Dixon.

          She is survived by her loving son, William (Ned) Nicholson of Arizona; her nephew, Brian (Sherry) Cutler of Connecticut; great nephews, Ryan and Kyle; great niece, Amy (Mike) Farnsworth; along with great-great niece, Amelia, all whom she loved very much.  Survivors also include Bob’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  “Grandma Dee”, your girls love you to the moon and back.

          Delight’s graveside service with Military Honors will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
