Diana L. Martinez

Diana L. Martinez, age 66, of Dixon, died Friday, October 11, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

          Diana was born October 28, 1957 in Dixon, the daughter of Ralph and Betty (Johnson) Barton.  She was employed at Plews Edelmann in Dixon for 35 years and was an avid music lover.  Diana was always great with storytelling and could paint a vivid picture with her words.  Her greatest love was her family, especially her son, which she would lovingly encounter many of his shenanigans.  Her final gift that she is giving is through the Gift of Hope which involves organ and tissue donation.

          She is survived by her son, Mikey Martinez of Dixon; her sister, Sally (Mike) Iacomini of Galena; two nephews; and two nieces.

          She was preceded in death by her parents.

          A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
