Dora Jean (Ebersole) Quimby

  Dora Jean (Ebersole) Quimby, 61, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Dixon, passed away at 5:00 AM Wednesday (August 13, 2014) at her home.

  She was born December 15, 1952 in Dixon the daughter of Merle E. & Alice J. (Witmer) Ebersole.

  She is survived by a daughter:  Tricia Ann (Edward) Hendley of Dixon; a son, James Robert Ebens III of Lakeland, FL; her parents, Merle & Alice Ebersole of Dixon; 2 grandchildren:  Thomas Herschal Humphreys and Errold Frederick Humphreys; a stepgranddaughter:  Rebecca Hendley; a brother:  Samuel Elwood (Paula) Ebersole of Mt. Morris; a sister: Debra Sue (Jeff) Hockensmith of Williams, AZ. and nieces and nephews:  Kaila, Nathan, Keith, Tim, Mark and Cassandra.

  She was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Emily Ebersole and a brother, Melvin Eugene Ebersole.

  She graduated from Dixon High School and studied business administration at Anthem College Online University. 

  She had been employed as a paralegal at the Guard Law Group, PLLC in Florida.

  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday (August 23, 2014) at the Sauk Valley Community Church on Route 2 in Dixon.  Andy Minch will officiate.

  Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

  Memorials may be directed to the family with donations accepted at Community State Bank in Dixon, C/O Tricia Hendley.

  Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of local arrangements.
