Doris J. Heim

Doris J. Heim, age 92, of Byron, died Monday, December 2, 2024 at her home.

          Doris was born February 26, 1932 in Hinckley, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Orva Jacobson.  She married Richard Heim on February 17, 1990 in West Chicago, IL.  Doris was employed at Furnas Electric Company in Batavia.

          She is survived by two sons, Albert (Jean) Wagner, Jr. and Dale (Cheri) Wagner; one daughter, JoEllen (Phil) Kujawa; one son-in-law, Jerry Freeman; one sister, Sandra Cooper; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Doris Freeman; four brothers, Erwin Jacobson, John Jacobson, Donald Jacobson, and Robert Jacobson; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Evelyn Jacobson in infancy; two granddaughters, Debbie Haws and Charla Wagner; and one great granddaughter, Amber Marquina.

          A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend David Andermann of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Dixon officiating.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

          A memorial has been established to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
