Dorothy G. (Scott) Crady

Dorothy G. Crady, 96, of Franklin Grove, formerly of Dixon died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center after an extended illness.  She was born Sept. 4, 1916 in Wyoming, IL the daughter of Sir Walter and Grace (Bumphrey) Scott.  She married Raymond Crady in Kewanee in 1935.  He preceded her in death May 2, 1974.

She is survived by daughters Kathleen Garren of Dixon; Marilyn Smith of Rockford; Sharon Harrison of Polo; sons Pete (Mary) Crady of Lynden; John (Carol) Crady of Prophetstown; a brother Bill Scott of Sterling; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son Sam; a sister Myrtle; brothers Melvin, Floyd and Kenneth; 1 granddaughter; 5 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.

Funerals services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Rev. Dan Bentz of Northside Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of services Tuesday, March 5, 2013.

A memorial in Dorothy’s name has been established.
