Earl H. Jacobs

          Earl H. Jacobs, age 88, of Harmon, died Monday, January 24, 2022 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

          Earl was born November 10, 1933 in Hamilton Township, Lee County, Illinois the son of John and Lucinda (Portner) Jacobs.  He married Bertha Heckman on March 15, 1963 in Ogle County.  She preceded him in death on February 15, 2019.  Earl farmed in the Harmon area all his life.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and working in his yard.

          He is survived by one daughter, Debbie (James) Lawson of Dixon; one son, Jeff (Kelly) Jacobs; one sister, Grace (Keith) Willstead; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

          He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one brother, John; four sisters, Helen, Lucille, Dora and Gladys; one daughter, Eva Degraffenreid; and one great grandson, Logan Jacobs.

          Per his wishes, there are no services.  Cremation rites will be accorded.   A family gathering will be held at a later date.

          In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
