Edythe L. Gloden

          Edythe L. Gloden, age 82, of Dixon, died peacefully Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation.

          Edythe was born October 14, 1936 in Dixon, the daughter of Earl and Nada (Mossholder ) Guise.  She married Ned V. Gloden on January 25, 1957 in Dixon and was employed doing various part time jobs throughout her life.  Edythe loved to read, travel, tend to her flowers and dog sit.

          She is survived by her brother, Richard Earl Guise of Mt. Dora, Fla.; one nephew, Richard D. Guise of Dixon; one niece, Cynthia (William) Guise McIntyre of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two great nieces, Elle McIntyre and Alexa McIntyre, along with many close friends.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and sister, Joyce.

          Graveside services will be Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon, with Pastor David Schweppe of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon officiating.  A luncheon will not be provided following the graveside service, but a Celebration of Life dinner will take place at a later date.

          A memorial has been established.
