Elizabeth “Liz” Huffstutler, 92 of Dixon, died Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Dixon Heath Center.
She was born June 4, 1933, in Amboy, Illinois, the daughter of Emil and Cecil Irene (Portner) Jacobs. She married Roy Huffstutler on May 16, 1959, he preceded her in death on October 21, 2000. They had one son together, Roy Huffstutler Jr.
Liz loved baking; she was especially good at making pies. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved talking about vegetables to plant in gardens. She was a wonderful seamstress. Liz was involved in her church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she made quilts for those in need. Liz adored her only grandson, James, and loved spending time with him.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marjorie (Mardi) Huffstutler; her grandson, James (Kylee) Huffstutler; her sister, Elverta Ford; and her nieces and nephew, Terri (Jack) Telle, Yvonne (Scott) Hall, and James (Laurie) Hise.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy E Huffstutler Sr.; one son, Roy E Huffstutler, Jr.; her niece, Kim (David, surviving) Farthing; and significant other, Richard Utz.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon, 1013 Franklin Grove Road. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Anthony Windau officiating. Burial will conclude at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
