Gary L. Greenfield, age 70, of Dixon, died Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
Gary was born June 5, 1953 in Dixon, the son of Merlyn and Marion (Faist) Greenfield. He grew up in a farming family in Forreston and later married Lori Bellows on December 13, 2014 in Polo. Gary was employed at Woods in Oregon as a Senior Systems Analyst for 43 years.
He is missed dearly by his loving wife, Lori Greenfield of Dixon; nine children, Jeremy Greenfield of Kansas City, MO, Daniel Greenfield of OK, Matthew (Samantha) Greenfield of Byron, Nicole (Luke) Tassoni of Rockford, Peter Portner of Rock Falls, Matthew (Brittany Steiniger) Portner of Davenport, IA, Heather (John) Bury of Dixon, Jennifer (Chad) Miskell of Warsaw, MO, and Tiffany Wibben of Sterling; Aunt Sandy Greenfield, Aunt Linda (Jim) Moseley; 21 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mark Greenfield; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at RiverStone Christian Church in Oregon. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Craig Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
