Gary L. Johnson, 69, of Polo, passed away at 12:40 AM Sunday (May 4, 2014) at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
He was born on July 1, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Lester & Peggie Johnson.
He is survived by his children: Cody Johnson of Middleton, WI, Sara Johnson of Middleton, WI, Jason (Jenni) Johnson of South Carolina and Gary Johnson of Chicago; his grandchildren: Jack, Caleb, Ethan & Hannah and a sister, Gale (Vern) Jennetten of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rodney Johnson.
He was a self-employed motorcycle mechanic.
Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned at this time.
Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of the arrangements.
