  Genevieve M. Myers, 90, of Dekalb, formerly of Genoa passed away at 4:03 PM Friday (July 18, 2014) at the Dekalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dekalb.

  A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Tuesday (July 29, 2014) at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon with funeral services to follow at 11 AM at the funeral home.  The Very Rev. Donald Ahles, Pastor of St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church in Genoa will officiate and also conduct graveside services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

  Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

  She was born on December 7, 1923 in Sublette, IL to  John and Mary (Albrecht) Full.  She married Russell H. Myers on August 18, 1940 in Sublette.  He preceded her in death on September 25, 1987.

  She is survived by grandchildren:  Keith (Debbie) Myers, Christina Myers and Dawn (Anthony) Myers-Jenkins, all of Las Vegas; 4 great grandchildren:  Andrea, Dylan and Sarah Myers and Ella Joy Myers-Jenkins and her friends, Vern and Dorothy Halsted of Gold Canyon, AZ.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on September 25, 1987; a son, Robert L. Myers on February 18, 1999; a brother Joseph and a sister, Shirley.

  She retired as a custodian at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb.

  She was a member of St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church in Genoa.

  Memorials may be directed to her church.
