James "Jim" P. Mills

  James “Jim” P. Mills, 68, of Polo, passed away at 3:45 AM Friday (October 30, 2015) at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.

  He was born October 20, 1947 in Dixon to Paul & Ruth Lucille (Whitebread) Mills.

  He is survived by a brother, David (Mary) Mills of Morton.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  He graduated from Dixon High School and then entered the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War. 

  He retired from the Dixon Correction Center in the Maintenance department and had also worked at Northwestern Steel in Sterling prior.

  He was a member of the N.R.A. and collected guns and liked to target shoot.

  A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Wednesday at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.
