James "Jimmy" E. Willstead

  James “Jimmy” E. Willstead, 52, of Amboy, passed away at 7:15 AM Thursday (November 12, 2015) at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.

  He was a newspaper deliveryman for the Rochelle News Leader for many years.

  He was born on December 16, 1962 in Sterling to Lester & Gloria (Vale) Willstead. 

  He is survived by his sisters:  Brenda (Ron) Swope, Mary LaCoursiere, Linda (Duane) Potter, Karen (Carl) Reynolds, Connie Willstead and Sharon Castro; brothers, Everette Willstead, Wally (Barb) Willstead; stepsisters:  Deb Sambdman, Lisa Moody and Lorie Ekberg and stepbrothers:  Fred Sambdman and Buddy Josephsen.

  He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepbrother, David Sambdmen.

  Jimmy was loved by all the staff at the Asperion Nursing Home in Amboy.

  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held in the Spring.  The Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of the arrangements.

  Inurnment was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

  Memorials may be directed to Chapel Hill Funeral Home to be given to the family for a memorial to be established.
