Jean Agnes Potts, 93, formerly of Dixon, passed away at 3:45 AM Tuesday (May 19, 2015) at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Jean retired as a bookkeeper from Walter C. Knack in Dixon.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday at the church with Rev. Frank Langhoff officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
The Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on April 20, 1922 in Waterman, IL to Clarence & Louise (Alschlager) Quilhot. She married Victor V. Potts on December 22, 1940 in Dixon. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2002.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Robert) Linboom of Sterling, Diane McCord of Dixon and Vicki Kessel of Roscoe; grandchildren: Lisa (Mark) Framke of Sterling, Robert A. (Tracey) Linboom of Dixon and Lindsay (Paul) Drew of Franklin Grove and also 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Robert Quilhot.
Jean graduated from Dixon High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she had belonged to the Ladies Aide, and had formerly been the church organist and the assistant choir director of the Jr. Choir.
She was a lifelong Dixon resident and she loved watching the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
