Julius R. Miller, Sr.

          Julius R. Miller, Sr., age 66, of Dixon, died Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his home.

          Julius was born January 4, 1953 in Amboy the son of Robert and Helen (Newman) Miller.  He married Rita Angell on July 7, 1971 in Dixon.  Julius was employed at Patterson’s in Franklin Grove and Blackhawk Lumber in Oregon for 15 years combined.

          Survivors include his wife, Rita Miller of Dixon; two daughters, Nina (James) Kemp of Dixon and Shannon (Greg Liston) Miller of Stillman Valley; three sisters, Melody (James) Noland of Texas, Connie Cadie of Fla. and Jodi Dodd of Wyoming; three brothers, Lerry McPhail of Polo, Danny (Mary) Peterson of N.D. and Harold (Sandy) Fredricks of Dixon; eleven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Julius Miller, Jr.; and one brother, Barron Clouse.

          Private burial will take place at a later date.
