Kathryn L. (Hurd) Donaldson

  Kathryn Louise Donaldson, 88, of Polo, passed away at 7:25 PM Monday (June 16, 2015) at Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris. 

  She had been a homemaker and had formerly worked at Central Quality in Polo and had also cooked at the Senior Center in Polo and was a dispatcher at the Polo Police Department prior to 911.

  She was born June 27, 1926 in Mt. Morris to Francis R. & Anne E. Hurd.  She married Leon O. Donaldson on November 11, 1945 in Mt. Morris.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 2003.

  She is survived by daughters:  Sandra L. (Lowell) Brooks of Marengo, Debbi D. (Dennis) Mumford of Polo and Jeanne K. (Michael) Tate of Polo; a son, Jeffrey L. (Brenda) Donaldson of Oregon; a daughter in-law, Betty Donaldson of Polo; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; sisters:  Sara (Jerry) Heffelfinger of Mt. Morris and Bobbi (Bob) Cupp of Oregon and a brother, Ray (Lyda) Arnold of Kansas.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband; a son:  Deryl Donaldson and a brother, Vernon Arnold.

  She graduated from Mt. Morris High School.

  A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM Monday at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Her grandson, Rob Henson will officiate and conduct graveside services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

  Memorials may be directed to Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris or Serenity Hospice & Home.
