Kwi Sun Cox

ROCKFORD- Kwi Sun Cox, 73 of Rockford, and formerly of Dixon passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at St. Anthony’s in Rockford.

Kwi was born on March 20, 1943 in South Korea, the daughter of Su Moon Kim and Yhu Lym Lee.  She married Thomas R. Cox in 1965 at the American Embassy in Seoul South Korea.  He survives.

Also surviving are her children Bobby Cox and Kwangmi Turner; and one sister. 

Preceding her in death are her parents; and one brother, Tong On Kim and his wife, Ok Nan. 

Kwi was a loving, and energetic person.  She was always very hard working and dedicated to anything she was doing.  She loved everyone that she met, and never had a bad word to say about anyone.  She enjoyed spending time in her garden, and canning with her husband Tom.

Kwi will be most remembered as a loving wife and friend to many.

Cremation rights have been accorded by Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 1121 N. Galena Ave., Dixon, IL, and a service will be held at a later date.
