Launa Jane Boken

Launa Jane Boken, age 82, of Dixon, died Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

          Launa was born March 4, 1942 in Dixon, the daughter of Hubert and Lillie (Cunningham) Gann.  She married William Boken on September 22, 2013 in Dixon.  He preceded her in death on September 19, 2018.  Launa was employed at the Sterling-Rock Falls Clinic for 14 years retiring in 1998.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and her hobbies included gardening, feeding the birds, doing puzzles, reading, spending time with family, and spending time outdoors.   

          She is survived by her three daughters, Kim (Jack) Skrogstad of Dixon, Becky (Anthony) Romano of Sterling, and Leslie (Daniel) Mann of Oregon; one sister, Edyie Madden of Dixon; two brothers, Merle Gann of Galesburg and Carl Gann of Harmon; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

          She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Art Gann and Melvin Gann; and one sister, Wanita Trader.

          A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
