Lula E. (Quimby) Portner

Lula E. Portner, 87, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, November 15, 2025 at home in Rock Falls.

               Lula was born on April 21, 1938, to Harold and Ruby (Hart) Quimby. She was a loving wife to Donald Portner. They shared 64 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death

August 5, 2020. Lula was a devoted mother and very loved.

               She is survived by one daughter, Dovie Tiemann; four sons, Peter (Paula) Portner, Sr., Charles (Teresa) Portner, Leslie Portner, and Bruce (Kathy) Portner. There are 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

               She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

               A public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brian Vickers officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
