Mabel M. Johns

          Mabel M. Johns, age 103, of Rochelle, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Rochelle Gardens Care Center.

          Mabel was born October 6, 1917 in Sandoval the daughter of Fredrick and Blanche (Harvey) Deadmond.  She married Robert Johns on March 31, 1939.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2008.  Mabel was a nurse at the Dixon State School for 10 years.

          She is survived by three children, Wesley Johns of Dixon, Judith (Keith) Heiser of Lyndon Station, Wis. and David (Mary) Johns of Victoria, Texas; eight grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

          She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers; and one sister.

          A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
