Obituary

Marilynn D. Graf, age 91, of Dixon, died Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her home.

          Marilynn was born May 3, 1932 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Frederick and Florence (Hanson) Carlson.  She married Robert A. Graf on June 27, 1953 in Chicago.  He preceded her in death on August 27, 1997.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Dixon.  She enjoyed her involvement with church groups, playing cards, singing, reading, going to the casino, writing letters to people, traveling and spending time with her family.

          She is survived by her three children, Dennis Graf of Woodstock, Gail Onasch of Dixon, and Linda Stoike of Round Lake Beach; one brother, Howard (Phyllis) Carlson of Round Lake; seven grandchildren, Paul Graf, Jeffrey Graf, Timothy Graf, Matthew McDonald, Robert Petrone, Danielle RyhajLo, and Jerry Green; and four great grandchildren, Corey, Hope, Colen, and Emily.

          She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Alice Graf; and two brothers, William Carlson and Ronald Carlson.

          Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  The funeral will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Lynn Bond of the First Christian Church in Dixon officiating.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

          A memorial has been established.
