Mary A. Droste

          Mary A. Droste, age 95, of Dixon, died Monday, September 20, 2021 at Liberty Court in Dixon.

          Mary was born May 24, 1926 in Dixon the daughter of Cecil and Ruby (Pruitt) Hamilton.  She married John Droste on August 28, 1949 in Dixon.  He preceded her in death on September 17, 1974.  Mary was employed at Jefferson School in the cafeteria, the White House, the Food Factory and Los Amigos.  She enjoyed walking, quilting and gardening.

          She is survived by her three children, Sharon (Gene) Mund of Roscoe, Larry (Hazel) Droste of Dixon and Scott (Alicia) Droste of West Bloomfield, Mich.; one sister, Suzie Mixen of Dixon; one brother, Kenneth (Lori) Hamilton of Winnebago; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

          She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Don, Herschel, Leon and Edward; and one sister, Viola Young.

          A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
