Michael Shawn Dexter

  Michael Shawn Dexter, 36, of Princeton, formerly of Dixon, passed away at 2:03 PM Tuesday (June 23 2015) at his residence.

  He was born on February 4, 1979 in Sterling, IL to Bruce & Debbie (Richardson) Dexter. 

  He is survived by his 2 children:  Shawn and Serrena Dexter of Tennessee who he loved dearly.  He is also survived by his parents:  Debbie and Duane Myers of Rock Falls; a brother, Darren (Lisa) Dexter of Dixon; 2 nephews:  Tory & Stephen Dexter, a niece, Kaitlyn Dexter all of Dixon; his grandparents, Fayette Richardson and Ronnie and Sue Myers all of Rock Falls; several aunts and uncles:  Darryle & Judy Richardson of Kentucky, Sue Richardson of Rockford, IL, Jerri Marie (Kevin) Clark of Converse, Texas, Patricia (Tom Sanchez) Dexter of Phoenix, AZ, Catherine (Val Silva) Larson of Sterling, IL, Judith (Jeff) Lukancic of Van Couver, WA, Myra Craft of WV, Jo Leebold of Moline, Rhonda Seidel of Rock Falls and a very special aunt and uncle Cynthia (Jim Brackemeier) Anderson of Princeton who the family would like to send special thanks to.  He is also survived by several cousins.

  He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Dexter, grandparents, Ruth Richardson, Lyle & Lois Dexter, uncle’s Danny, Richardson, Donnie Richardson, Robbie Dexter and an aunt, Marge Handel.

  Michael loved to go boating, fishing and camping with his brother and treasured the time he got to go fishing with his son.

  Private family services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services.

  The Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of the arrangements.

  Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
