Ronald R. Winters, age 73, of Fulton passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Addington Place of Clinton, IA with his loving daughters by his side.
Ronald was born on Sept. 25, 1951 in Dixon, IL to Orris and Irma (Moeller) Winters. He graduated from Dixon High School in 1969. He worked for Lawrence Brothers in Sterling from 1977 to 1997, and Timken Drives in Fulton for 17 years prior to his retirement in 2014.
Ronald attended River Church in Clinton ,IA , was a member of the Moose Club, and a life member of the AMA (American Motorcycle Association). Ronald had a love for motorcycles. He raced enduros in his 20s and traveled to 49 states, Mexico and Canada on his Honda Goldwings. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed attending Nascar and Sprint races, singing karaoke and fishing.
Ronald is survived by his daughters Lynnette (Frank) Shaw of Decatur TX, Jessica McIntyre of Newton IA, 4 grandchildren Frankie Shaw, Kirsten Shaw, Kaleb Schipper, Kole Schipper, 1 sister Doris (Vince) Hoyle of Dixon, and a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Ronnie".
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Anna May Hardy and Linda Somerville, and niece Michal Olson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday , July 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Pallbearers are Ronald's grandchildren, Frankie and Kirsten Shaw, Kaleb and Kole Schipper, and nephews Ken and Ed Clayton.
Ronald was a 2-time kidney transplant recipient. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org.
