Obituary

Steven D. Weidman, age 68, of Dixon, died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his home.

          Steven was born August 20, 1954 in Chicago the son of Dale and Barbara (Shippert) Weidman.  He was employed by the City of Dixon for 35 years.  Steven was an avid NASCAR fan, a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and a Chicago Cubs fan.  He also enjoyed music.

          He is survived by his daughter, Kelli (Tony Sprague) Weidman of Dixon; his son, Jeremy (Cassie) Freil-Weidman of Dixon; his brother, Kevin (Sherry) Weidman of Dixon; three grandchildren, Ethan Weidman, Mikayhla Gunderson, and Addyson Weidman; and several nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his parents.

          Burial will be Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
