Tommy J. Bowser, age 68, of Dixon, died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home.
Tom was born May 31, 1954 in Dixon the son of Forrest and Ruby (Sanders) Bowser. He married Jean McKeown on May 12, 1984 in Rock Falls. He was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire (Sterling Steel) for 45 years. Tom’s greatest honor was being part of his grandchildren’s lives. He loved spending time with them, attending their sporting events, and going on family vacations together.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bowser of Dixon; five children, Judy (Eric) Brantley of Dixon, John (Leslie) Bowser of Wyoming, IL, Ben Miller of Franklin Grove, Chris Bowser of Dixon and Tiffany (Jay) Bowser of Dixon; three sisters, Kathy Spotts of Rock Falls, Sandy Shock of TX and Barb Bowser of Rock Falls; one brother, Rob (Mary) Bowser of Dixon; six grandchildren, Matthew, Claire, Trayse, Sam, Brennan and Taylor; and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Rich Bowser; one sister in infancy, Judith Bowser; and one brother-in-law, Lannie Shock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
