Veva T. (Adams) Glessner

  Veva T. Glessner, 99, of Dixon, passed away at 8:40 PM Sunday (August 23, 2015) at the Franklin Grove Living & Rehab.

  She was born on November 10, 1915 in Haswell, Colorado to Noah & Nettie A. (Bennett) Adams.  She married Roy V. Glessner on June 16, 1948 in Chicago.  He preceded her in death in 1995.

  She is survived by a daughter in-law:  Marva Jasper of Rural Polo; 2 grandsons;  Rev. Ryan Jasper of Dixon and Raymond (Robin) Jasper of Round Lake Beach, IL; 5 great grandchildren: Ray Jasper, Rebecca Thompson, Rachel Akins, Robert Jasper and Catherine Jasper of Dixon; 9 great great grandchildren and 2 step great granddaughters.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son:  Rev. Jack W. Jasper and a grandson, Derek Jasper.

  She was educated in the Dixon Public Schools and had been an inspector at Bordens and also a homemaker.

  She was a member of the Pine Creek Independent Church.

  A visitation will be held from 11 AM until Noon Thursday at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon.  Graveside services will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.  Her grandson, Rev. Ryan Jasper will officiate.

  Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
